If the GAL is opposed

Is there any sense in moving forward with this case at all. The absolute lack of preparedness that they presented was atrocious. Maybe they actually should have put someone who had actually talked to us on the stand and new about us... perhaps they should have reviewed our homestudy, course they were blindsided by the last minute lawyer she walked in with, but I knew she would have one, but the GALs total agreement with her intervention... wtf? He has not even talked to us EVER!! I can imagine what she has been filling her head with, but if someone would just see her with us, then it wouldn't be so lost but, we don't have a chance. How long to we continue to put her through the back and forths and bonding for nothing?

  1. It pains me to say this, but there are lots of kids out there who need a loving home, you guys shouldn't have to "fight" to adopt a child, this is all backwards. I'd walk away now, each visit will just make the goodbye that much harder. Unless you feel there's a fighting chance..

    1. No I agree with you. Its harder to get Hubby to see reason. He has faith in the adoption agency, but I don't. He's thinking with his heart and only that. We know she is bonded to us. We know she likes being with us. We also know she is not regressing when with us. But that what WE know. No one else is seeing this from the important side! Like the GAL. (child's lawyer)

    2. I kind of think if you guys pull out now, FM will freak out realizing the reality that she is adopting and that's that. If you guys hang on, she's still fostering and getting more money. In the end this could be a ploy to delay that and in the end will let her go to you guys. I don't know, maybe I have a wild imagination. It just seems fishy to me that she doesn't put forth effort to adopt "I" until you guys are driving down there to get her.
